Member Comments: "We were only going in for one thinking it was going to close at 11pm. Left at 1am. Feeling the worse for wear today but enjoyed the pub. Good guinness and they also do Palarner Wheat Bier from Munich."

"5 of us (ladies) had a very pleasant time earlier this week.  The place is deceptively cavenous, well decorated with an intimate bar and real fires opening up into a large smoke-free dining bar area. The staff were really welcoming and seem determined to put this pub firmly on the map for local residents.  Generous and nicely presented food at fair prices.  Families welcome in the back dining area until 9pm. Landord says trade is picking up all the time.  They have plans for a regular quiz night (Mons) and already have bookings for Christmas.  Couldn't comment on the beers - we had an alcohol free experience!"
