Woman murdered on East Acton Estate

Barbara McNamara aged 49 stabbed to death

Police are investigating the murder of a woman in Acton.

They were called in the early hours of Wednesday morning to the East Acton Estate the Ambulance service who were attending an incident in which a woman and a man had suffered stab wounds.

The 49-year-old woman was taken to a west London hospital where she died from stab wounds. The 45-year-old man was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Next of kin has been informed and the woman has been formally identified as Barbara McNamara who lived on the estate.
