Heroin seized after local community intelligence led to operation
A man and a woman have been arrested after officers found more than 30 wraps of a class A drug in a house on Ranelagh Road, W5.
The couple, were arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs and handling stolen goods after the police found 35 wraps of heroin, drugs paraphernalia, a lock knife and small amount of UK currency.
During the raid at the house at 7.30am, officers from Acton response team and Ealing CID were joined by the Elthorne Safer Neighbourhoods Team and a dog unit.
Police Sergeant Liam Cahill, in charge of the operation said: "This is an excellent example of partnership-working producing great results.
"This demonstrates that police use every resource available to curb any criminal activities in the area.
"By acting on intelligence provided by the local community we have shown that drug dealing in the London Borough of Ealing will not be tolerated.
"The couple have been interviewed and released on police bail pending further inquiries and the investigation continues.
