A man in his fifties has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Acton this Wednesday morning (6 July).

The police say they were called to Churchfield Road at 8.08am and found the man at the scene suffering from a knife wound.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries have since been assessed as not life threatening.

A 26-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm [GBH]. He was taken to a west London police station where he remains at this time.

The area was cordoned off while forensics officers collected evidence but is now clear. One eye witness reported seeing blood on the pavement outside the Station Cafe.

Anyone who witnessed this incident but has not yet spoken with police should call 101 quoting 1474/6JUL.
