A murder investigation has been launched after a 50-year-old man died from head injuries received at a flat in Acton.

Two Arrests After Man Killed on Cumberland Park

The police were called to Cumberland Park, W3 at 9.45pm on Tuesday 24th March.

The officers attending forced their way into the property and found a seriously inured man. He was pronounced dead at 2.00am the following morning.

Detectives have charged Giuseppe Lomedico, 54, of no fixed abode with murder. Another 50-year-old man has been released on bail to return on a date in mid April. A third man aged 44 remains in custody while enquiries continue.

The quiet residential street was cordoned of between Crane Avenue and Woodhurst Road the day after the death. It is the location of some of the most expensive property in the Acton area with a house on the road recently selling for £2.7 million, a new record for the W3 post code area.

The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating under Detective Chief Inspector Simon Ashwin.
