There has been quite a bit of helicopter activity over Acton in recent weeks, though it has been relatively quiet this month. We asked police about one particular incident. This has now been explained.

On Saturday 4th September police were called to an incident at 3:00pm.

A 15 year old autistic boy had run away from his parents near Homebase on the A40.  The police helicopter was called to help search for him along with units on the ground.

The boy was eventually found at Ealing Broadway Station an hour later.  He was unharmed and was reunited with his parents.
