Just after midday today at 12:06pm, police were called to a report of a robbery at the Post Office on Horn Lane involving three unidentified suspects.

As a result of the incident two men sustained head and facial injuries and were treated on scene by London Ambulance Service.

A 29-year-old man was taken to Central Middlesex Hospital for further medical treatment. His injuries were deemed not to be life threatening. The man has since been discharged.

All three suspects are described as young black men aged 20 - 25, athletic build, wearing hooded jackets and baseball caps.

The investigation continues

A helicopter was seen hovering over the area for long periods of time, though it is not known whether its presence was connected with the incident.

Initial reports say that the incident was a robbery, possibly involving arms but this has not yet been confirmed.

There are numerous reports of armed police and lots of activity over a prolonged period of time, part of which took place in Emanuel Avenue.
