A number 70 bus has veered off the road and into a parade of shops on Old Oak Road near Savoy Circus this Wednesday afternoon (25 March).

The incident took place at around 12.36pm opposite the new development currently under construction next to the A40 and the bus appears to have been driven into a computer repair shop.

Footage showing the immediate aftermath of the crash was posted on Facebook.

The person who made the film which appears to be from a dash-cam can be heard saying, “It happened right in front of me. Bus just went straight through a window. Oh my God!”

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said, “We were called at 12:36pm today (25 March) to reports of a road traffic collusion at Old Oak Road, W3.

“We dispatched two medics in a car, an incident response officer and an ambulance crew to the scene. We also dispatched our Hazardous Area Response Team”

“We treated four patients at the scene.”

Tom Cunnington, Head of Bus Business Development at TfL, said, “A route 70 bus collided with a commercial property on Old Oak Road in East Acton. Our thoughts are with the passenger on board the bus who was sadly injured, and we wish them a speedy recovery. The police and London Fire Brigade attended and a structural engineer was assigned. We are now working with the operator, RATP Dev, to establish exactly what happened.''
