The pensioner who died on May 2nd as she crossed the road on Old Oak Road at the junction with Hilary Road has been named as Anna Booker. She was 83.

Mrs Booker was the well-loved wife of Peter Booker, and will be missed by her two daughters and her grandchildren.

She was an active and vibrant lady who helped many people and lived in Old Oak Lane, East Acton. Anna was originally from Italy and moved to England after World War II.

A male motorcyclist riding a Kawasaki 400 cc motorcycle travelling southbound who was involved in the collision was taken to Charing Cross hospital with minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who witnessed the collision, which happened at 4:35pm on Wednesday 2nd May should contact Alperton Traffic Garage on 020 8998 5319.

Anna's husband Peter has said that anyone who wishes to join him and her family in celebrating Anna's life is welcome to attend the funeral which takes place at 4:00pm at the Mortlake Crematorium at Kew Meadow Path, Richmond, on Monday, May 14th.
