Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Old Oak Road, junction with Hilary Road in Acton at 16.35 on Wednesday 2nd May.

A male motorcyclist riding a Kawasaki 400 cc motorcycle travelling southbound was in a collision with an elderly female pedestrian who is believed to have been crossing the road.

She was taken to Charing Cross hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police believe they know the identity of the deceased, however they are not releasing her name at this stage although next of kin have been informed

The motorcyclist was also taken to hospital. He has minor injuries.
