Orchards of London has made a move of its own– by switching its entire fleet of sales consultants' vehicles to Fiat 500 city cars.

Orchards, a specialist estate agency with offices in Ealing and Chiswick, West London, took delivery this week of 15 new Fiat 500s, each equipped with the award-winning 0.9-litre TwinAir engine.

Fiat 500 and Orchards of London are a perfect environmental fit – Fiat is internationally recognised as having the lowest average CO2 emissions of all major car brands in Europe, while Orchards of London recently won gold for corporate social responsibility at the National Estate Agency of the Year Awards. It was a major reason why Orchards of London chose the 500, of which more than one million have been built.

To further reinforce this, during the vehicle handover, Orchards of London sales and lettings consultants were given training in the use of Fiat's eco:Drive software with their new 500s by Fiat zone fleet manager Elaine Wolfe. The awarding-winning in-car system can save fuel and reduce emissions, and was introduced to the fleet market in 2010.

"The environment is extremely important to us and we have a responsibility to make sure that we look after what we have," says Paul Connolly, managing director, Orchards of London. "One of the first things we checked when looking for a new car was the carbon emissions. We also felt the Fiat 500 would represent our brand very well as it is modern, elegant and full of personality – just like us."
