Local hockey girls are hoping to get us another Gold
As if there wasn't enough Olympic excitement yesterday - today we have an extra reason to cheer. Hockey stars Anne Panter (nickname Pantos or Pants) and Hannah Macleod (nickname Macca) both 28, are members of Team Ealing - sponsored by the council to help with the costs of training. They have acted as ambassadors to promote sport and healthy living in the borough. Tonight we're hoping they'll make Ealing and GB proud as they represent the country in the women’s Great Britain Olympic hockey team. They're playing Belgium Already defeating Japan 4-0 and South Korea 5-3, the Team Ealing girls in a good position to compete for the gold medal.
