Rubbish Collections Over The Holidays | |||||||
Changes begin Christmas Day
Collection days for recycling and rubbish will change over the festive period. Meanwhile, residents are being reminded of the council’s free Christmas tree recycling service. Refuse and recycling collections will change from Christmas Day and return to normal service on Monday, 11 January. All days as usual until Christmas Day: Normal Collection : Revised Collection
To help people dispose of real Christmas trees, a free collection service will be provided from 4 - 29 January. Trees will be collected on the same day as the refuse and recycling collection day. Tree trunks must not exceed 20cm in diameter and any trees taller than 6ft will need to be cut in two. Residents are also reminded to recycle any food that cannot be reused in their food bin as well as recycling as much festive related waste as possible. The council's re-use and recycling centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Normal opening hours (8am–4pm) apply on all other days. These centres are located at Stirling Road, Acton, and Greenford Road, Greenford. More information about refuse and recycling services can be found at www.ealing.gov.uk/recycling People who wish to report a missed collection can do so at www.ealing.gov.uk/reportit
