Orchestral concert, Passiontide service and talent contest
Twyford C of E High School has a fantastically busy schedule for the next few weeks. There are three contrasting events that show off the range of talented Twyford students. Straight off the back of their fabulous performance for the ‘Oliver’ production, Twyford‘s Symphony Orchestra were in rehearsals with the Junior Symphony Orchestra of the London College of Music. It’s the LCM’s 50th Anniversary and this collaboration provided a very enjoyable evening of popular classics drawn from the world of movies. Next Tuesday Evening their sublime Chamber Choir help celebrate the Passiontide service in the beautiful school Chapel (details below). The following Sunday sees the runners up of the Popular Music Competition battle it out on the stage of the Lyric Hammersmith to see who is the best band, the best group or the best solo singer – this year’s talented bunch are going to make it hard work for the judges… (details below)
