Action Acton , the local charity and social enterprise  that runs Acton Market , is starting a new Fairtrade stall from Thursday 30th September. The stall will run every  Thursday and Friday.

The stall will be staffed by local volunteers. Initially the products sold will be high quality, Fairtrade t shirts and tops. If enough customers ask for any other Fairtrade goods then in future it may be possible to stock them. As is the case with Acton Market,  Action Acton will recycle any surplus raised by the project back into the charity to support  projects of benefit to the local community.

Funding to ‘kick start’ the Fairtrade initiative has been donated by Action Acton from the prize money it secured  last year from  winning the national Development Trust Association Chris Woodcock Award  for  ‘Best community enterprise project in the UK’.

Do come along and support this new initiative for Acton.
