London Farmers Market Pulls out of Acton |

Action Acton to intersperse food with craft market
An announcement from London Farmers Market means there will be major changes from September on the Mount. Market managers sent customers the following letter: From September onwards, we will no longer be running a farmers' market in Acton. Instead, the farmers' market stalls will be incorporated into Action Acton's section of the Acton market. We're very sad to close, but we feel it is best if the running of the market is handed over entirely to Action Acton. Tomorrow's farmers' market will be the last day of our involvement in the Acton Market. All of the stalls which have attended our market on a regular basis have been invited to join the general market on a Saturday. We do not know what decision has been made by all of the farmers' market stalls, but we do know that David Emmett, Malcolm Stone, Farmer Ted and Food Forethought will be staying. So at the very least, you should be assured of supplies of fresh, local vegetables, eggs, fruit and organic meat on Saturdays. For those of you who would still like the opportunity to attend a farmers' market, Ealing Farmers' Market (every Saturday 9am-1pm on Leeland Road) is only a short bus-ride away. We would like to thank everyone who has supported the Acton Farmers' Market over the last two and a half years. Regards, Jill, Sandy, Geraldine, Cheryl, Mark and Arthur
