Plans for yet another skyscraper in the North Acton area are to be revealed this month.

The proposal, which is believed to include a 46-storey tower, is by Aldau Development for the redevelopment of the site at 4 Portal Way. If it proceeds the block will be adjacent to another 42-storey tower planned by a different developer.

The site is currently occupied by the Holiday Inn and it is understood that this will be replaced by a new hotel within the development. In addition there will be flats and offices in the scheme and the developer is promising a range of public realm improvements include a new pedestrian bridge over the A40.

There was a previous proposal which was consulted on this July and the developers say that this latest scheme represents an evolution of the original design.

Details of the plan are to be exhibited at the Holiday Inn this Monday and Tuesday 10 and 11 December from 4pm to 8pm and members of the project team will be on hand to answer questions.
