Police say they targeted areas known for drug use and anti-social behaviour              October 14, 2025 A series of coordinated drug sweeps were carried out across East Acton and South Acton this Monday (13 October), as part of a joint operation between the Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team and Ealing Council. The initiative targeted residential blocks and public spaces identified as areas of concern for drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour. The operation included the removal of suspected drugs and prohibited items, alongside high-visibility patrols in locations such as Heathfield Nature Gardens. A police helicopter was observed hovering above the A40 near Savoy Circus during the raids, drawing attention from local residents. Authorities described the action as part of a wider strategy to improve public safety and reduce criminal activity through collaborative enforcement.
