It has been reported that three teenage boys were arrested by police investigating stone throwing at Tube trains in West London.

A group of youths targeted several trains on the Central Line in the Acton area last Wednesday night.

Commuters were unhurt but several windows were smashed and the affected trains had to be taken out of service.

British Transport Police said two 14-year-old boys and a boy of 13 were arrested for stone-throwing with intent to endanger safety and criminal damage.

They were taken to a police station in Hammersmith and bailed to return on 9 June.
