Pasta Evangelists expands partnership with local food charity
November 4, 2025 A major food donation effort has seen 14,000 servings of cheesy focaccia bread distributed to those in need, as artisan pasta brand Pasta Evangelists deepens its collaboration with food redistribution charity City Harvest. The donation, collected from Pasta Evangelists’ factory in North Acton and delivered the same day by City Harvest’s fleet of drivers, marks a significant expansion in the partnership between the two organisations. The focaccia was distributed to a wide network of charities across the capital, including food banks, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, schools, and community pantries. City Harvest, which supports over 130,000 people facing food poverty each week, tailors its redistribution efforts to ensure that surplus food reaches the charities that need it most. The charity’s model not only addresses hunger but also helps reduce food waste by diverting edible produce from landfill. Jami Dyck, Senior Food Sourcing Manager at City Harvest, welcomed the growing collaboration saying, “We’re very pleased to be working more closely with Pasta Evangelists, who are well known for their authentic and delicious fresh pasta. The sheer demand on food banks and shelters is growing, and it’s thanks to our partners that we’re able to bring high-quality, nutritious and varied produce to them whilst also avoiding surplus food going to waste.” The initiative coincided with Pasta Evangelists’ month of charitable activity in celebration of World Pasta Day, held on 25 October. The company has increasingly focused on addressing food inequality, both globally and within the UK. Chris Rennoldson, Co-founder and VP of Strategy & Analytics at Pasta Evangelists, said, “Sharing and community are fundamentals in Italian culture—especially when it comes to food. We’re really proud to be part of this scheme with City Harvest, who bring together like-minded organisations to swiftly redistribute fresh food to important community causes and those who need it most.” You can find out more about how you can support the food redistribution charity by clicking here.
