Services were suspended on the Central line yesterday

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said:

"BTP can confirm that a 50-year-old man died after being struck by an eastbound Central line train at East Acton Tube station on Tuesday 10 April.

"The incident was reported to police at 2.24pm and is being treated as non-suspicious.

"BTP officers are attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.

"The line was handed back to London Underground at 3.15pm."
