Actor Mickey Rourke visits the area researching next film Oscar nominated actor Mickey Rourke made a rather understated visit to the training ground of rugby team London Wasps at Twyford Avenue last week. He wasn't surrounded with a big entourage - and some may not have even recognised the 60 year old star of hits from the 1980's like 9½ weeks, Angel Heart and Rumble Fish or more recent ones such as The Wrestler (2008) Iron Man 2 and The Expendables (2010). The 60-year-old has been in town researching his next movie - a biopic about Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas.
He was invited to watch London Wasps training at Twyford by fly-half Andy Goode, who tweeted: I bought a mate along to training today for the boys! Next stop I'll be his double in his new movie! You can see Mickey talking about all things rugby here
