A hugely popular Indian restaurant on Acton High Street will be closing at the end of this week.

Bombay Bistro opened four years ago and built up a loyal and regular clientele but owner and chef, Bhuwan Bhatt, says business hasn't been strong enough and he has to move on.

He says they built up a regular home delivery market but the high street restaurant location wasn't busy enough and many nights were too quiet.

The food at Bombay Bistro has been praised by many forum members from both Acton W3 and Chiswick W4 sites who are very sad to hear of the closure.

One member said: ''It wasn't just the best Indian food I've ever tasted - it rates among the best food of any kind I've ever had.''

Bhuwan is moving to Bromley and will be chef in a restaurant called Cinnamon Culture.

He says '' I just want to thank all my loyal customers who have supported the business for the last four years. If I can come back and start again in a few years time I will try to do so.''

Bombay Bistro will close on Sunday (16th February).
