Acton Youth Ballet

Audition 24th February for dancers who want extra training and performance opportunities

AUDITION 24 FEBRUARY at 1.30pm in Ruskin Hall, Church Road, W3 8PP www.actonyouthballet.com

When I sold my very successful ballet school in Acton I soon realised that I wanted to encourage talented and dedicated dancers from the school to join a small company of young dancers to train in different genres of dance and with a particular emphasis on performance opportunities. So with Victoria Harley who is particularly talented in choreography and could teach jazz and contemporary we set up a partnership and formed ACTON YOUTH BALLET.

We now wish to broaden our interest to students from all over the Ealing Borough as we choreograph full scale ballets and dance routines and get bookings within easy reach of London

This small group of dancers train for 3 hours every Saturday during term time and in a dedicated dance studio in Acton. We also invite on occasion professional dancers to come in and teach a class and choreograph and so expand on the experience offered to the students.

We are open to any young dancer between 8 – 17 who continue to train in their local dance school but who would like extra training and regular performance opportunities . These are classes that are not affiliated to any established graded syllabus but follow more the professional classes of the RBS and Pineapple.

We are soon to perform a display at a local hospice and in the summer will perform a full length production of Peter Pan at Didcot Theatre in Oxfordshire. Another opportunity has been made to us to perform at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar in December.

Because we need to place a Mr & Mrs Darling in Peter Pan and have 4 places left in our morning session with a new afternoon session soon to start we are holding an AUDITION on SATURDAY 24 FEBRUARY at Ruskin Hall, Church Road. All details on our website www.actonyouthballet.com
