Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place on Askew Road, W12 this afternoon (Friday, 14th November).

They received a call at 3.18pm reporting an altercation involving a man armed with a knife and a hammer. On arrival officers found a man with a head injury. He has been taken to a west London hospital where his condition is currently being assessed.

Another man, who police say was armed with a knife, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. A TASER was used during the arrest. The man has been taken to a west London police station where he remains in custody.

Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident at this stage and no police officers were injured.
