British Transport Police have released CCTV images as part of an ongoing investigation into a sexual assault on board a Piccadilly line train between South Ealing and Acton Town.

Officers are looking to identify a man, pictured in the CCTV images, in connection with the incident, which occurred on Wednesday 25 March.

British Transport Police PC Martin Chapman, the investigating officer, said:

“The victim boarded the busy Piccadilly Line train at South Ealing tube station at around 8.15am.

“Shortly after she boarded the train the victim was touched indecently by a man who was standing beside her. When the victim challenged him the man began verbally abusing and threatening her.

“He also threatened two passengers, a man and a woman, who intervened during the incident.”

All four passengers left the train at Acton Town tube station although the man re-boarded the train a few carriages down.

PC Chapman added: “This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable and I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV images to contact police.”
