Have Your Say on Crossrail Plans for the Borough

Acton Main Line and West Ealing stations to be discussed

Ealing Council is giving residents the chance to have their say on plans for the redevelopment of some of the borough’s rail stations as part of the Crossrail scheme.

Crossrail is the new high-speed link across London, from Berkshire to Essex and will stop at five stations in the borough - Southall, Hanwell, West Ealing, Ealing Broadway and Acton. The scheme was given Royal Assent in 2008, with construction due to begin next year and the first trains due to start rolling from 2017.

On Tuesday, 22 September, a specialist scrutiny panel will be hearing from representatives from Crossrail and Network Rail, who will be discussing plans for the redevelopment of Acton Main Line and West Ealing Stations at a meeting in Committee Room 3 at Ealing Town Hall at 7pm.

Councillor John Cowing, Crossrail Specialist Scrutiny Panel Chairman, said: “I’m sure a lot of people have strong views on the plans and this is a chance for them to find out more and share their thoughts with others. We want to hear what residents think about the Crossrail proposals.”
