Who died after falling on to train tracks in North Acton

The body of a tattoed man who fell on to train tracks in North Acton back in June has still not been identified.

The man, believed to be of Eastern European descent, possibly Albanian, was killed after falling from a bridge on Victoria Road on Saturday June 26 at around 1.30pm.

He was not struck by a train and a post-mortem examination revealed he died from the fall and police officers are not treating his death as suspicious.

But the man's identity still remains a mystery despite fingerprint checks, scouring files at the Missing Persons Bureau and the release of an e-fit picture back in July.

Now the British Transport Police have issued an artist's impression of the man and photos of his tattoos in a bid to establish his identity.

BTP coroner’s liaison officer Gary Mathias said: "The man has considerable tattooing all over his body and we have consulted experts in the field, who believe that some of them could probably be about 20 years old and possibly from Eastern Europe.

"We’ve tried fingerprints, DNA and the Missing Persons Bureau, but so far without result.

"This man may be someone’s son, brother or father and it’s important we identify him."

The man is described as white, between 5ft10 and 6ft tall, with short, dark, receding hair, facial stubble and brown eyes.

He is of slim build and thought to be between 35 to 40 years old.

He has tattoos of dragons on his chest and left shoulder, tribal designs on both upper arms and an image of a dark-red bird on his right shoulder.

At the time of his death, he was wearing a dark blue jacket, khaki trousers and black canvas shoes.
