Girlguiding in Acton - "Guide, Brownie and Rainbow units are very popular and most have waiting lists. Guiding gives young girls the opportunity to have lots of fun, try out many different activities from camping to crafts and to find out about local and global issues. It is an ideal place for building team working skills and self-confidence. Girlguiding gives everyone the opportunity to find out what they are good at. All of the units are run by trained volunteer, adult Guiders.

We are always happy for new adults to join in and help us. There are many opportunities to help and whatever time you can give us is valued. Many units need help with administration such as unit accounts. We would love to hear from you if you have a skill of a hobby that you are willing to share. Helping every other week or once a month is valuable to us. The 1st Ealing Brownies and Rainbows are in urgent need of adult help to keep them running. The units, which are based in the Sherman Labour Hall in South Ealing, may have to close at Christmas (2005) unless new volunteers come forward to take over."
