The video shows 19-year old Kabiru 'Swingerz' Gbolahan looking around his childhood haunts in South Acton.  But this is more than just a trip down memory lane, Swingerz latest video is a moving tribute to his close friend Craig Marshall, who was stabbed to death in October 2008.

"I wake up every day and I can't believe he's gone,' says Gbolohan, who says the experience of losing Craig has made him think long and hard about what's important in life. And what's important to Swingerz is being an urban artist of distinction. For him, it's not about earning  lot of money.

"I just want to focus on my music. It's my passion and I love performing."

The Dear Acton video was shot and edited by 15 year old 'Danny Streetz', another talent from South Acton.

Right now, Gbolahan is hoping he'll be signed by a record label and will get as many youtube hits as possible.  His music speaks to a generation of young people who, in this economic climate of downturn, have a lot of hardships to deal with.  But Swingerz is positive about his future and philosophical about what he wants, and doesn't want.

"If you do what you always did you're going to get what you always get," he says, sauntering down the Churchfield Road back to South Acton.
