YOUNG PEOPLE’S VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION

This month's exhibition at the W3 gallery is called 'The Future We Want, Young People's Visual Arts Exhibition' where the pieces have been created by Young People and Young Groups using multimedia arts forms. The exhibition aims to explore the different dimensions of media and art which includes visual arts, radio, pod casts, photography and fine art. The exhibition is now open until 16th April.

ART HITS THE STREETS

The festival 'Art Hits the Streets' starts next week in Acton and Ealing’s venues. It gives the opportunity for the artists to exhibit their work in venues other than art galleries such as on the streets, in cafes, bars, community spaces and public places. As for businesses and venues, this opens up opportunities to attract new audiences. Check our website to know which venues are hosting our local artists.

PUBLIC ART COMING SOON IN SOUTH ACTON

As part of the festival ‘Art Hits the Streets’, South Acton estate will host a Public Art Momentum during the week ends 12-14th and 27-28th April with famous and local artists including Mark Sinckler, Teddy Baden, Cosmo, Carrie Reichardt, Mark Wydler and Zabou.

ACTON FILM FESTIVAL @ THE W3 GALLERY IN APRIL!

W3 gallery is holding a film festival this year that will take place from 18th April- 28th April.

We are still looking for submissions so please get in contact if you seek further information.

During the ten days of the festival there will be the premiering of the different films followed by discussions with the directors. Programs will be available soon.

‘GROW YOUR OWN’ COMPETITION – DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS - 20TH AUGUST 2013

‘Grow Your Own’: an art competition for the community to help aim towards a greener city. It is open to all age groups and will be judged by local community members. There will be two prizes available and the selected art pieces will be on display at the W3 Gallery. Exhibition: September 2nd – 15th 2013 // Check out our event page on Facebook.

CLASSIC CINEMA CLUB EALING organises a film projection every Friday evening at 7:30 pm at Ealing Town Hall, Uxbridge Road W5. Discussions and debates usually follow the projections. ASIAN MUSIC CIRCUIT, one of the venues taking part in the festival ‘Art Hits the Streets’, is the leading promoter of Asian music in the UK.
