The Iris Axon Concert takes place Acton Hill Church at 4pm on Saturday 4 June

Pianist Jelena Makarova will give a programme influenced by the recent passing of Harrison Birtwistle. Not only will she play his Ostinato with Melody "Oockooing Bird" but works by two of his main influences Igor Stravinsky and Erik Satie. There will also be a performance of some Ukrainian folk songs.

Ms Makarova is a London-based concert pianist, Chamber musician, accompanist and recording artist who has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.

The concert takes place at Acton Hill Church, High Street and Woodlands Avenue, W3 9BU.

Programmes at the door. The price is £5.00 for concessions, £6.00 adults and £2.00 children.
