The ongoing issue of travellers taking up residency on Ealing Common has arisen once again.

On Saturday (9 June) caravans were spotted arriving in the area which then parked up on the Warwick Road Extension.

Ealing Common Councillor Joanna Dabrowska immediately alerted the authorities of their arrival.

However, locals have been expressing their concern with the debris being left.

James Fuller on Twitter said, '' Come on Ealing Council, 6 caravans have now been there 3 days. 3 days of rubbish and human waste from 20-30 people. It is unacceptable''

There is one official site in the borough for travellers but illegal camping on the Common has been taking place regularly for a number of years. Ealing council has to take legal action to get the travellers to move on, which can often take some time.

There have been regular calls to try and prevent it happening by making changes to Ealing Common using bollards or low fencing.

We have asked Ealing Council what action they are taking.
