Safer Neighbourhood Team urges residents to set up a 'Neighbourhood Watch' meeting

Five burglaries have been committed within the last 48 hours,according to the South Acton Safer Neighbourhood  Team.

Sgt. Danny Williams says the burglaries seem to be happening overnight.  Burglaries have been reported in Western Gardens , Oakley Avenue, Birch Grove , Twyford Avenue and Rosemont Road.

Sgt Williams advises that "people check their home security and ensure they lock doors and windows when they go out or go to bed. Do not leave keys or valuables in sight of the letterbox. Please ensure that you know where your keys are in case of fire."

Sgt Williams also encourages residents to organise a neighbourhood watch meeting, and says to let the SNT know of any proposed dates so that a member of the Safer Neighbourhood can attend.
