Cllr Vlod Barchuk has some cheery news for Acton residents inconvenienced by the roadworks outside the Bingo Hall on Acton High Street.

He has received news from that the Thames Water roadworks outside the Bingo Hall should be complete and cleared "by this
weekend, thus opening the road up to normal traffic flow over the Christmas period.", according to information from Ealing Council's Network Coordination department.

However, there is also news of more disruption as works are due to re-start on 5th January to 10th April next year, on
the southern kerbline between Melville Villas and Acton Lane.

These works will see the final completion of Thames Waters' Flood Relief Scheme.

According to Ealing Council, Thames Water will complete a letter drop to residents and businesses likely to be affected by the works, by the end of next week and are planning a 'drop in centre' to give up to date information regarding the works, immediately after the Christmas/New Year holidays.

The Council say that as this section of the highway (including sections of footway) have very recently been resurfaced they have informed Thames Water that they expect a complete area reinstatement between the junctions of Acton Lane and Melville Villas.

Cllr Barchuk has promised to keep ActonW3.com informed of any further developments.
