Win £500 in the Kiosk Design Competition
A £500 pound prize is on offer to the person who comes up with the best design for the Acton Market kiosk on the Mount/King Street. The contest is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Acton.

The kiosk is owned by Ealing Council and is located at the Churchfield Road end of the Mount, It's currently a drab green so we're hoping that someone in the community can come up with the artwork to transform it into a local icon The Kiosk is used to store the market stalls but we'd like to open it up as an information point during the market.

The artwork on the outside needs to incorporate a community notice board, the logos of Action Acton and
its funding partners. The design should centre around a map of the area.

All ages may enter the competition. Budding artists can obtain an entry form from the Action Acton office at 16-18 Crown Street.

The contest closes on 18 January 2008. The judges will decide on a shortlist of three designs and these will be put to a public vote.

If you've been to the Saturday Market, you'll no doubt have seen the unique
hats made by Pamella. Three years ago she decided to do a millinery course
and from there her talents exploded. Her amazing hats are perfect for
special occasions when you just need to add that extra something to your
outfit. Might we see one of her designs on Mrs. Beckham? Pamella also trades
at Spitalfields Market in East London on Fridays.
