The market has been lacking a fish monger for a few months now. However, there is good news. A new fish stall started at the market last week.

Tony Licastro, who lives locally in Brentford, will be selling wet fish to start and hopes to introduce smoked fish/pre prepared fishcakes and accompanying sauces.

The fish is caught off the West Coast of England in Looe.

Tony is very committed to the Acton Market and will be trading every Saturday. He doesn't trade at any other markets.

Locals last week will no doubt be visiting the market to find out more. Forum poster Ellie Rose reported last week that the market was busy and that there was "not an empty space to be filled".

Ellie visited the new fish stall and reported that "he stocked crab, squid, cod and much more. He sold out fairly quick". Ellie bought a lobster from him and he told her he would bring a wider selection to this week's market tomorrow.

Let's hope the bad weather won't put him off coming.
