A serious fire hit a flat on Bollo Bridge Road, Acton this week but all the occupants escaped unharmed,

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers tackled the blaze which took place on Sunday morning (20 December).

When fire crews arrived they were faced with an intense fire coming out of a maisonette on the fifth and sixth floors. The whole of the maisonette was badly damaged by the blaze. Three two men and one women evacuated the affected building before firefighters arrived. They were all uninjured.

The Brigade was called at 9.34am and the fire was under control by 12:05pm. Firefighters from Acton, Chiswick, Ealing, Hammersmith and Park Royal fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
