A new sign for East Acton Green has been officially unveiled. It is situated between East Acton Primary School and the Goldsmiths Arms.

The sign is part of ARTifications 'East Acton: old town, new town' local history project. The unveiling had representation from East Acton Primary school and local Residents Associations who had been involved in workshops exploring East Acton heritage with the Acton sculptor Tim Norris. Local historians and long term residents also got involved informing the design of the village sign.

Tim Norris and Park Ranger Pat Robinson early in the project identified the location on the green, which involved extensive researching and surveying of the site.

The village sign design was developed with Acton sculptor who led an East Acton Primary school assembly and ran design workshops at the school, as well as a community workshop at the Goldsmiths Residents Association street party and at a
community consultation stall at Acton Carnival and at the Goldsmiths AGM where he presented the project.
