A Section 60 order has been issued covering South Acton. The police say this follows violence and heightened tension in the area.

The order was authorised by Inspector Dryell and runs from 5pm on Friday 14 August until 8am on Saturday 15 August.

It gives the police enhanced stop and search powers when looking for offensive weapons or dangerous instruments.

A Section 35 dispersal order was issued for the area last weekend due to intelligence received that unlicensed music events were planned in the area. This gives police extra powers to make people leave a designated area.
