A major police raid was carried out on a property in Acton ward this Wednesday (30 October).

Over twenty officers and a Dog Unit were deployed in the operation at 6am on Beardsley Way.

The Southfield Ward neighbourhood police team commented on the raid later on the OWL messaging system saying, "This morning after getting up at 0300 hours (and lots of coffee) we have executed a drug search warrant in BEARDSLEY WAY. It is a result of months and months of hard work and let me just say what a great example this is for Residents and Police working together. We couldn’t have done this without you!

"We will continue to patrol in the lovely ward of Southfield and we just want you to know that we are happy to talk to you about anything! We are highly approachable and no matter how insignificant you might think it’ll be, just give us a shout if something doesn’t feel right! These phone calls, emails and visits add up to a bigger picture that we can only create together. "

Southfield Police tweeted: "If you're up to no good expect @MPSSouthfieldW4 @EalingCouncil a Dog Unit and about 20 officers knocking (on) your door at 6 am! #teamwork"

They also tweeted a short video of the raid showing officers entering the premises amidst shouting.

Police say that as a result of the raid a 22-year-old male was arrested at the address for drug offences.
