A man from Acton has been charged with fraud in relation to claims he made about residing at Grenfell Tower.

49-year-old Shaffick Brimer of Western Avenue, W3 was charged on Wednesday, 19 June with fraud by false representation.

Brimer is alleged to have claimed to have lived in Grenfell Tower at the time of the fire and received financial assistance and accommodation amounting to a value of £29,404.

He is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 11 July.
