The trial has begun of two people accused of murdering a 54-year-old man from Acton.

Paul Tong of Willcott Road was found dead at his home on 20 April 2017. He had been fatally assaulted the night before.

29-year-old Aliysa Ellis of Loveday Road, Ealing and 33-year-old Christopher McDonald are charged with murder and conspiracy to rob and are being tried at Blackfriars Crown Court.

The prosecution allege that the pair came to Mr Tong’s home with the intention of stealing the proceeds of his drug dealing including a number of Rolex watches which he possessed.
