A 25-year-old man has been died after being stabbed in the chest in East Acton on Thursday afternoon (11 January).

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene on Old Oak Road shortly after 4pm.

No arrests have been made at this stage and police say they retain an open mind as to motive.

Police believe they know the victim’s identity and are attempting to contact his next of kin.

The Old Oak Road was closed during the evening rush hour between Armstrong Road and A4020 Uxbridge Road. The Uxbridge Road was also closed eastbound from the junction with Askew Road and Old Oak Road.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information should call Hammersmith and Fulham police on 101.
