Three CCTV stills have been released by detectives investigating the murder of Mahad Ali of men they wish to speak to in connection with the killing. The 18-year-old from Islington was stabbed to death at Eid celebrations in Park Royal in the early hours of Thursday 29 June 2017 at a 'West Wednesday' party, a post Eid celebration held in Coronation Road, Park Royal.

At the same time, the independent charity Crimestoppers has announced a reward of £10,000 is available to anyone providing information to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this murder.

Around 40-50 people are believed to have been in attendance at the party. An altercation began inside the venue and people inside spilled out onto the street. It was at this point Mahad was stabbed. He was tended at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital but pronounced dead two hours later. He had celebrated his eighteenth birthday just over a month before he was killed.

An investigation by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on the day of the killing on suspicion of murder and three days later a 21-year-old man was arrested for the same reason. A 26-year-old man was arrested on 6 July 2017 on suspicion of violent disorder. All three were subsequently released under investigation. The case against Sakariya Gasar, a 20-year-old man from Wembley, who had been charged with the murder was discontinued on 4 January 2018.

DCI Marks said: "I want to trace everyone who was at the West Wednesday party on 29 June 2017. Although we have spoken to a number of people already, I believe there are a significant number that have not yet come forward. I wish to identify and speak with these individuals.

"We have today released images of people I would like to trace. They may have vital information regarding this investigation

"We know there were pockets of violence that occurred in and around the venue that night - separate incidents to the one in which Mahad was stabbed. Were you involved? Were you injured? Did you record footage or take photos that night? I am particularly keen to speak with anyone who was involved in these, who knows anything about the altercations, or has video footage or photos of the disturbances.

"Mahad suffered significant injuries and there is a strong possibility that the person or people involved in the attack may have got blood stains on their clothing or had visible injuries themselves. I am appealing for anyone with information about a person who returned home from the party with bloodstained clothing or an injury to share that information with me."

Mahad's parents, Naima Farah and Ali Omar, said, "Mahad is missed terribly by family and friends. His sudden and violent death has left a huge void in our family structure. Our shock and sorrow will remain with us forever.

"Our son was an easy-going young man who showed respect to everyone with whom he came in contact. Mahad loved boxing and belonged to Islington Boxing Club for the last decade. Until his violent death, Mahad was attending Westminster Kingsway College.

"We appeal to anyone who saw the murder or knows anything about it to come forward and help the police in their effort to arrest the murderers."

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8358 0200. To give information anonymously call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
