Local Safer Neighbour Officers were surprised to come across a major cache of Class A drugs after being called to an address in Acton earlier this month.

Acton Police

On 8 March Southfield ward officers joined forces with officers from Acton Central and colleagues from the Metropolitan Special Constabulary to answer a call to an address in Acton. Although their reason for attendance had nothing to do with an investigation into drugs they found evidence of significant drug dealing from the location. The combined team arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

The Team conducted an extensive search of the premises and managed to seize the grand total of 94 exhibits. These included 30 bags of suspected Class A drugs as well as 12 bottles and containers of various controlled drugs. 60 electronic items were seized for investigation after several were identified as being stolen.

The two suspects were then further arrested for handling stolen goods.

Although the arrests meant a massive amount of necessary paperwork for the officers involved there were no complaints given the successful outcome.
