A man has been charged in relation to a shooting incident which occurred in South Acton earlier this month.

Jamal Myers-Ghani, 21 of Saxon Drive, W3, was charged on Sunday, 27 March with two counts of attempted murder.

On 15 March just before 4.45pm two men approached another group of three men on Brouncker Road and a number of shots were fired towards the second group. It is believed a black hand gun was used.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the legs but his injuries are not believed to have been life-threatening. Another man, aged 25, was initially thought to have also been shot but after receiving medical treatment this was found not to be the case. A third man aged 24 was treated for shock. An air ambulance attended the incident landing on South Acton Park.

Detectives recovered a vehicle at Saxon Drive suspected to be involved in this incident.

Myers-Ghani appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Monday, 28 March and was due to appear in custody at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 30 March.

A second man, aged 24, remains on bail until late May pending further enquiries.
