Britain's 'Thickest' Burglar Jailed For Six Years

Kenneth Morgan left his passport behind after Acton raid

A burglar has been jailed for six years after police tracked him down when he left his passport, keys and mobile phone as he fled.

They were found in Kenneth Morgan's rucksack which he dropped after being disturbed in the raid in Acton.

He said the bag had been stolen and planted by a rival keen to see him back behind bars. But Judge Simon Oliver at Isleworth Crown Court called the defence "preposterous". Morgan, 48, of west London, had been out of jail for three weeks when he was caught.

The Sun today named Morgan as 'Britain's Thickest Burglar'.
