Brazen Daylight Robbery at Natwest Acton

Suspects escape with cash box

Two men committed a brazen daylight robbery at Natwest Bank on Acton High Street, police have confirmed. Police were called shortly after 14:00hrs on Thursday, 13 January, to reports of a robbery outside Natwest Bank.

Two male suspects made verbal demands for a cash box as it was being deposited by cash-in-transit security guard. The suspects punched the guard in the arm and snatched the box from him.

The two suspects then joined a third male suspect in a silver 4x4 sports utility vehicle, and made off along the High Street, towards Hammersmith.

The guard did not require hospital treatment.

No weapons were used and there were no injuries.

Detectives from the Finchley Flying Squad are investigating.
