Police are warning residents living in houses next to railways them about a burglary in Southall which they are concerned could be repeated in Acton.

One suspect pretended to be workman from a railway company. He asked the resident to accompany him to the back garden to view access to the railway lines, then two other men entered the house and stole some items.

There were three men in the group: one white man aged between 45 to 50, and two other men aged around 20 (one black and one white).

It is very important that should anyone knock at your door claiming to be carrying out railway repairs that you check their ID credentials very carefully before allowing them access to your property.
